MILLINOCKET – Marie C. Johnson, 79, wife of the late Leslie “Les” Johnson, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born March 10, 1929, in Millinocket, daughter of Bruno and Diana (Madore) Angotti. Marie is survived by two sons, Frank Johnson and his wife, Linda, of Millinocket and Bruce Johnson and his wife, Colly, of Ladera Ranch, Calif.; a son-in-law, Dale Cates of Standish; six grandchildren, Matthew Johnson and his wife, Chrystal, of Jonesboro, Brian Johnson and his wife, Dawn, of Crawfordville, Fla., Scott Johnson of Bangor, David Johnson and his wife, Meaghan, of Ladera Ranch, Calif., and Nicholas and Kristen Cates of Standish; three great-grandchildren, Lia Johnson of Bangor, Kendra and Camden Johnson of Jonesboro; five sisters, Brenda Brunette and Rita McMahon of Millinocket, Joanne Heatherington and her husband, George, of Belle Mead, N.J., Jean Macri and her husband, Dominique, of Baltimore and Beverly Luke of Westbrook; three brothers, Bernie Angotti and his wife, Brenda, Bob Angotti and his wife, Linda, all of Millinocket and Frank Angotti and his wife, Anita, of Caribou; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by a good friend, Jim Pound of Millinocket. In addition to her husband, Marie was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Cates; and four brothers, Wilbur Angotti, Randolph Angotti, John Angotti and Richard Angotti. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with a memorial service 3 p.m. by the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. A funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ian Shearer officiating. Spring interment will be held at Millinocket Cemetery.
