HUDSON and ORRINGTON – Shirley V. Flagg, 85, wife of the late Henry Flagg, passed away Feb. 5, 2009. She was born May 11, 1923, in Bangor, the daughter of Seth and Florilla May (Fish) Beede. She was a member of Eagles Club No. 3177 Ladies Auxiliary, Old Town American Legion Post No. 0075, VFW Post No. 3381 and Rebekah’s Lodge No. 47. She enjoyed being with her family, watching NASCAR and being at Brewer Lake. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Constant of Hermon and Pamela Coates Flagg of East Hartford, Conn.; a son, Stanley O. Flagg of Hudson; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons, several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her sisters, Phyllis, Vivian and Barbara; a great-grandson, John C. Martin; and a great-great-grandson, Eric Martin. The family extends a special thank you to Bangor Area Visiting Nurses for the loving care given Shirley and support to the family. Friends may call noon until the time of services 1 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be 10 a.m. May 9 at Hudson Cemetery.
