BANGOR – Bernard R. Seay, 63, passed away Feb. 8, 2009, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. Bernie graduated from Bonny Eagle High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was involved in Bangor Youth Football and Bangor High Athletic Boosters for many years. Bernie was employed with Mechanical Services Inc. for 38 years and of late, as district manager in Bangor. Surviving are his wife, Claudette “Claude” Seay of Bangor; sons, Daniel Seay of Bangor and Michael Lamb of Norway; granddaughters, Jordan and Justyce Seay of Bangor; one brother, Dennis Jordan and his wife, Gail, of Hollis; and one sister, Shirley Wedra and her husband, David, of South Carolina. Bernie’s family extends many thanks to the staff at Maine Veterans’ Home for their care and support. They also thank their friends who have always been there in the past months with kindness, support and friendship. A gathering to celebrate the life of Bernie will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
