LINCOLN and FAIRFIELD – Coleen R. Ludden, 77, wife of the late Hiram Ludden, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 8, 2009, at her home in Fairfield. She was born April 28, 1931, in Lincoln, daughter of Thomas and Doris (Lane) Reed. Coleen worked at the old Lincoln Trust Co. for many years, and was a member of First Congregational Church of Lincoln. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed her life to the fullest and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, David and Jean Ludden of Fairfield; grandchildren, Thomas and Heather Ludden of Vassalboro, Sonia Jacques, Stacie and Aaron Dostie, Sean and Jan Clark, Steven Clark, Stephanie and Caleb Rackliffe; great-grandchildren, Jacob Vinton Ludden, Brielle Dostie, Alexis Dostie, Eli Rackliffe, Alex Rackliffe, Douglas Carmichael, Kyle Jacques, Bryson Jacques, MacKenzie Hobbs, Olivia Clark, Colby and Taylor Rancourt; a brother, Philip and Betty Reed of Lincoln; two nieces and a nephew, Dottie and Ralph Gabarro, Nancy and John Stevens, and Jason and Elana Reed. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Scott David Ludden. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
