Municipal leaders are following tradition and celebrating the anniversary of Bangor’s
incorporation as a city. Is this a meaningless event, or should communities like Bangor
pause to acknowledge and reflect on their past? With the anniversary in mind, what do
you think the city will look like when it celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2034? Will it
have a larger or smaller population? Will it be more or less of a regional service center?
Will the downtown still be vibrant? What other changes do you expect?
