CLINTON, Mass. – Audrey A. (Mills) Orser, 91, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Apple Valley Center, Ayer, Mass., after a long illness. Audrey was born in Robinsons, to the late Hubert and Nina (Tweedie) Mills. She attended local schools and graduated class valedictorian from Aroostook Central Institute, Mars Hill. Upon her marriage, the Orser family relocated to Framingham, Mass., where they resided for more than 40 years. She was employed as an accountant with Sears Co. and ultimately retired after more than 20 years. She and her husband enjoyed many summers of part-time residence in both Maine and Florida, until recently moving to Clinton, Mass. Audrey was an accomplished seamstress, loved to knit, and took great pleasure in reading, dancing and playing music, notably the organ, violin and harmonica. She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 70 years, Clayton D. Orser; a daughter, Geraldine Garron and her husband, Ernest, of Clinton, Mass.; and two sons, Dennis B. Orser and his wife, Barbara, of Shirley, Mass., and Thomas C. Orser and his wife, Elaine, of Wells. She leaves six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Ann Jones. Funeral services are to be held privately at the convenience of the family and are under the direction of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, Mass.
