MILLINOCKET – Milton “Greg” Gregory, husband to the late Geraldine “Jeri” Ruuk Gregory, passed away Feb. 12, 2009, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln, after a long battle with chronic kidney disease. Milton was born March 19, 1931, to Jeremiah and Alice (Shepard) Gregory. Milton worked for Great Northern Paper for 35 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of PACE Local. Upon his retirement he and Jeri really loved their camping spot at Gull Point, Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, with the love of their lives, Chewey. Milton loved the theater, classical music, reading and smoking his cigars. He was fortunate to have a loving and supportive family and will be greatly missed. Go with your head held high, for you have accomplished many great things. Milton is survived by his five children and their spouses, Kevin and Jennifer Gregory, Glynnis and Ron Libby, Alice and Charles Murphy Jr., Brian and Janna Gregory, and Victoria and Terry Stafford; as well as a son-in-law, Steven Gray II; a daughter-in-law, Andrea Kittrick; his grandchildren, Steven, Greg, Elizabeth, Reuben, Jerica, Kayla, Kassandra, Ashley, Sarah, Emily, Heather and Steven III; his great-grandchildren, Connor and Hayden; and a sister, Muriel Ardyce Chasse. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Geraldine Gregory; an infant daughter in 1966, his parents; a brother, Melvin; and a granddaughter, Tabitha Murphy. The family gives a special thank you to Donna Graham and Debbie Kranich, and all the people from hospice who tended to him in his final days. There will be no services at Milton’s request.
