HOULTON – Roger W. Cunliffe, 66, died Feb. 13, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Houlton, the son of Ray and Helen (Hatfield) Cunliffe. Roger was owner and operator of Cunliffe’s Saw Shop. He was a member of Houlton Lodge of Elks, where he enjoyed afternoon cards with the boys and was a member of Houlton Community Golf Course. He is survived by his mother of Houlton; his wife, Regina (Baker) Cunliffe of Houlton; sister, Nancy C. Henderson and her husband, Ronald, of Orient; sister-in-law, Barbara Berghauser and her husband, Robert, of Fairfield, Tenn.; brothers-in-law, John Lake of Houlton and Hudson Leigh Lloyd of Old Town; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Ken Paradis. Roger will be sadly missed by the afternoon Elks gang. He was predeceased by his father, Ray; and sister, Patricia C. Lloyd. At Roger’s request, there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to share in a celebration of his life 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Dunn Funeral Home.
