GARLAND – Mark D. Nightingale, 46, died unexpectedly Feb. 16, 2009, in Garland. He was born May 5, 1962, in Dover-Foxcroft, son of Dalton and Marline (Robinson) Nightingale. He worked as a self-employed woodsman and carpenter for most of his life, but was really a “Jack-of-all trades.” Mark loved motocross racing and enjoyed time with his boys every summer at the track, where he had many close friends. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Susan (Bennett) Nightingale; a son, Matthew Nightingale and his girlfriend, Connie; Beebah’s special boy, Blake; a brother, Tony Nightingale and his friend, Robin Neal, all of Garland; three stepchildren, Brandon Clay and his wife, Ashley and their daughter, Mckenzie, all of Virginia Beach, Va., Alisha Clay and Hunter Clay, both of Garland; several aunts and uncles, and many dear friends. The family will be hosting an open house 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Mark and Susan’s home, 193 Exeter Road, Garland. Spring burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Garland.
