WATERVILLE – Nancy B. Littlefield, 69, wife of the late Harry F. Littlefield, went home to be with the Lord, Feb 15, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Nancy J. Butterfield, March 15, 1939, in Monmouth, daughter of Lloyd and Julia (Shackford) Butterfield of Monson. Nancy retired as a state employee where she worked in the public health nursing program. She was an active member of West Sidney Baptist Church, where she and her late husband worshiped the Lord for many years. She enjoyed very much her many friends from church and the support groups from the local communities. Nancy could always be counted on to write a letter or an encouraging note to others. She is survived by her brother, Bud Butterfield and his wife, Janice, of Etna; a stepson, the Rev. Ronald Littlefield and his wife, Ellen, of San Antonio; and a stepdaughter, Debra (Littlefield) Knowles of Milton, Fla.; along with their children, grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta, where a celebration of Nancy’s life will begin 1 p.m. with Pastor Don Woodman officiating. Also participating will be the Rev. Ronald Littlefield and Pastor Russell Lane. Interment will be noon Monday, Feb. 23, at new Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to West Sidney Baptist Church, 51 Pond Road, Sidney, ME 04330. www.khrfuneralhomes.com
