In Loving Memory Of ARLENE PORTER JOHNSON Feb. 20, 1909 – Oct. 13, 1999 Arlene was born in North Vassalboro. In 1934, she temporarily left a teaching career to be a housewife and mother in Aroostook. Mom not only cared for her parents, but also was very nurturing to our family. She kept involved with hobbies as well as church and civic duties. We have fond memories of the meals Mom prepared for us, such as chop suey, potato salad and many others. She is missed by sons, Rodric, Stephen and Bruce
