DOVER-FOXCROFT – Doris May Winslow, 78, died Feb. 26, 2009, at a hospital in Bangor. She was born April 14, 1930, in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of Sanford and Sadie (Powers) Winslow. Doris was one of the first students at the Little Red School House, and later was one of the first to attend the Charlotte White Center, Dover-Foxcroft. For many years Doris attended Guilford United Methodist Church. She is survived by a sister, Bertha Jones of Boothbay Harbor; a nephew, Clinton William “Billy” Jones of Boothbay Harbor; special friends, Joe and Laura Auger of Abbot and Michelle Lord and her family of Sangerville; and the caregivers from Charlotte White Center. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, at Guilford United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Friends may call at the church for an hour before the time of service. Spring burial will be at Abbot Village Cemetery. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
