CALAIS – JoAnn (Crowe) Cook passed away unexpectedly Feb. 23, 2009, in Calais. She was born Nov. 27, 1958, in Waite, the daughter of Merlyn and Bernyce (Grass) Crowe. Jody was a great friend of everyone, and always had a smile and a kind word for all. She will be greatly missed. Jody was known for her love of all children, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be warmly received by the loved ones who have predeceased her: first husband, Craig Cottrell of Calais; father, Merlyn Crowe of Waite; and sisters, Jeanette Williams of Talmadge and Connie Lockhart of Woodland. Jody is survived by her husband, Bruce Cook of Calais; two daughters, Tina Crowe of Bangor, and Angela and her fianc?, Cory York, of Calais; one son, Craig Cottrell II and wife, Heidi, of Ellsworth; grandson Joey, who lived with “Nana” and kept her young; grandsons, Frankie, Austin and Brendon; granddaughters, Kira, Serena-ann and Whitney; mother, Bunny Crowe of Waite; brother-in-law, Richard Williams of Talmadge; sisters, Brenda Fern and husband, Joe, of Kansas, and Christine Bunker and husband, George, of Kossuth; brothers, Jerry Crowe and wife, Robin, of Waite, Jeff Crowe and wife, Terrilyn, of Cooper, and Tim Crowe and wife, Diane, of Waite; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many, many friends. She will be sadly missed by all of her co-workers and customers at Carmen’s. A service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Pentecostal church in Talmadge with Pastor Tom Smith officiating Graveside services will be held at a later date.
