LARGO, Fla. – Everett Allen Casterlin Jr., 88, died Feb. 11, 2009, in Largo, Fla. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Irene. Born and raised in Scranton, Pa., he served during World War II in the Army Air Force. He later joined the Red Cross, where the family moved to Pittsfield. They subsequently moved to Bangor, where he joined Town & Country Real Estate, and later worked for Bangor Savings Bank until his retirement in 1985. They then moved to Seminole, Fla., where they were able to indulge their passion for bridge and golf. Surviving are daughters, Alene Bonner of Waltham, Mass., and Patricia Casterlin of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Marion R. of Scranton, Pa.; brother, William T. of Melbourne, Fla.; son-in-law, Vinnie; granddaughters, Jennifer and Jessica; great-grandaughters, Hannah, Andrea and Alison; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. March 7 at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, Largo, Fla.
