CASWELL and VAN BUREN – Joseph Leo Kelley, 80, died March 6, 2009, at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born July 17, 1928, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Thomas and Myrtle (Curran) Kelley. He was employed as a farmer and later a heating plant operator at the former Loring Air Force Base. Leo always enjoyed being home on his farm in Caswell. He is survived by one son, Lee Paul Kelley of Van Buren; one grandson, Anthony Lee of Caribou; three sisters, Gladys Whittier and husband, Raymond, of Caribou, Leatha Greenier of Afton, N.Y., and Patricia Ziegler of Nebraska. Leo was predeceased by his loving wife, Juliette (Berube) Kelley in 1984; sisters, Lorna, Katherine and Dorothy; brother, Thomas; and twin brother, Louis. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Spring interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hamlin.
