DEDHAM – Arthur R. Tilley Jr. died Thursday March 5, 2009. He was born May 8, 1951, in Bangor, the son of Arthur Rand and Harriett (McKinnon) Tilley. He was a graduate of Bangor High School and Springfield College. As a youth he spent much time at the Bangor YMCA and as an adult joined his family’s business where he was employed for 30 years. He was a longtime member of Bangor noontime Kiwanis and held many local and regional positions in the Kiwanis for which he received numerous awards and honors. He is survived by his parents; sister, Anne; brother, Matthew; nieces, Ruth, Kathryn, Ezabell and Victoria; and very good friends, Elizabeth Ryan, Nancy and Peter Golding. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
