CYR PLANTATION – Hector Lavoie, 79, died March 11, 2009, at an Eagle Lake nursing home. He was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Van Buren, the son of Alec and Emily (Roy) Lavoie. He was employed as a mechanic and welder in Connecticut for many years and had relocated to Cyr Plantation 12 years ago. Hector is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Levesque) Lavoie of Cyr Plantation; one daughter, Charlene LeBlanc and her husband, Victor, of South Windsor, Conn.; one son, Kenneth Lavoie of Milltown, Conn.; two brothers, James Lavoie of Caribou and Philip Lavoie of Millinocket; three sisters, Robertine Boucher and Jacqueline Castonguay, both of Van Buren and Esther Chamberlain of New Britain, Conn.; four grandchidren and 10 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
