PEMBROKE and EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – Lillian (Clark) Leighton, 94, of North Granby, Conn., formerly of East Hartford, Conn., wife of the late Malcolm S. Leighton, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009. She was born and grew up in Pembroke, daughter of the late Edward and Ida (Cushing) Clark. She lived in East Hartford, Conn., for most of her life. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Peter Shubert and granddaughter, Rebecca Shubert, of North Granby, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Earl and Ralph Clark; and a sister, Elsie Jones. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Mays Funeral Home-Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the funeral home.
