MONTICELLO – Charles L. “Chuck” Long died March 11, 2009, in Bangor. He was born Feb. 24, 1957, in San Antonio, the son of David and Mildred (Kei) Long. Chuck lived in Washington, D.C., and then moved to the southern Maryland area where he lived until 2003, when he moved to Maine. He owned a trucking business for 20 years and then became a GIA jeweler and had his own line of jewelry. He was also an accomplished artist. He loved to work on cars and feed birds. He was proud of his flower gardens and yards. He praised his God by seeing the beauty in all that he had created. He always gave his all to his family and whatever he set his mind to do. He is survived by his wife, of 20 years, Rosalinda “Kathy” Long; and was the proud father of one son, Charles David Longof, both of Monticello. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, David Long. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with Pastor Chester Ammons officiating.
