BANGOR – Barbara L. Boulier, 60, died March 11, 2009, at a local hospital, after a courageous battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was born March 15, 1948, in Bangor, the daughter of Norman and Hazel (Scott) Boulier. Barbara had a wonderful zest for life and enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Hazel; one son, Roger “Buddy” Severance Jr.; one daughter, Julia Davis; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandon, Sydney, Sheila and Danny; four brothers, Norman Boulier Jr. and Joan, Charles Boulier and Eleanor, Allan Boulier and Debbie, and Robert Boulier and Lynn; one sister, Janet and Larry Bennett; the love of her life, Elmer Howard; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Boulier; and will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Barbara was predeceased by her father, Norman. The family thanks the very special nursing staff of the fifth floor at St. Joseph Hospital and Dr. Craig for the loving care they provided. A service of remembrance will be held 4 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Harvest Chapel, Levant, with the Rev. Stephen D. Hall, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
