BIRCH HARBOR – Douglas Alan Sawyer, 49, died March 16, 2009, at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1959, in Lincoln, the son of Carroll Stevens and Blanche Sawyer. Douglas had been a member of the United States Armed Forces. He was a good father and enjoyed playing guitar and fishing. He leaves behind many good friends in the Gouldsboro area. He is survived by two sons, Michael of Bangor and Mark of Orrington; a brother, Tracy Stevens; a sister, Tina Stevens, both of West Enfield; two grandchildren, Shawna and Ahreanna; a nephew, Dylan Stevens; uncle, Maynard Sawyer and his wife, Rena; and his good friend, Ron.
