YUMA, Ariz. – Cpl. Cody Hall Searway, U.S. Marine Corps, passed away unexpectedly March 7, 2009, in El Centro, Calif. He was born April 23, 1987, in South Portland, to Maureen (Cody) and Ricky Searway, who survive him. Cody is also survived by his wife, Crisanta Elizondo Searway; brothers, Spencer and Remick Searway; grandparents, Peggy (Skiles) Cody of St. Louis, and Nelson and Eleanor (Hall) Searway of Cape Elizabeth; in-laws, Jose and Teresa Elizondo; brother-in-law, Joshua Elizondo; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cody was a graduate of Humble High School, Class of 2005. After graduation, Cody served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps with one tour of duty in Iraq as a heavy equipment mechanic. Visitation will be held 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Rosewood Funeral Home, Humble, Texas, with a rosary to be held 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Interment will be afterward at Houston National VA Cemetery.
