BASS HARBOR – Arlene Marie Donovan, 91, died March 18, 2009, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born March 10, 1918, in St. George, the daughter of John Henry and Letha Mary (Page) Nice. Arlene was a member of Olsen Memorial Church, Bass Harbor. She is survived by her three sons, Roland Donovan Sr. and wife, Christina, Edwin Donovan Jr. and Richard Donovan, all of Bass Harbor; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arlene was predeceased by her brother, Millard Nice; and her sisters, Leola Pettegrow and Mildred Young. Contributions in Arlene’s memory may be made to Southwest Harbor/Tremont Ambulance Fund, P.O.
