PRESQUE ISLE – Jean Paul LeBlanc, 76, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 15, 2009, in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He was born Nov. 1, 1932, in Robichaud Office, New Brunswick. “JP” was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a lifelong Catholic and member of St. Mary’s Parish, Presque Isle. He worked for 40 years in chemical sales, starting with Canada Packers and retiring from Nutrite Chemical in Maine. He was a founding member and was chairman of the board of First Citizens Bank in Maine, founding partner and president of Atlantic-Pacific Trading Co. and president of the board of Grand Falls Milling. JP is survived by his wife, Aurella (Robichaud) LeBlanc of Old Orchard Beach and Presque Isle; his daughters, Diane LeBlanc of Newton, Mass., and Lynne Bock and her husband, Dr. Randall, of Newton, Mass.; and sons, Judge Bob LeBlanc and his wife, Joanie, of Orlando, Fla., and Paul LeBlanc and his wife, Darcy, of Westbrook. He loved his five grandchildren, Sam, Abby, Eli, Thomas and Josie very much, and enjoyed life with his entire family and friends far and wide. Survivors also include Donald LeBlanc and his wife, Germaine, of Shediac, New Brunswick, Francis LeBlanc and his wife, Jeannine, of Barachois, New Brunswick, Jeanette Belliveau of Buctouche, New Brunswick, Juliette Landry and Ed Stevens of Parry Sound, Ontario, Bernard LeBlanc and his wife, Helene, of Shediac, New Brunswick, Cecile Bourque and her husband, Eric, of Mont Jolie, Quebec, Gilles LeBlanc and his wife, Rose, of Barachois, New Brunswick, Bernice LeBlanc, Lilliane LeBlanc and Loretta LeBlanc, all of Barachois, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by brothers, Valmont LeBlanc, Fernand LeBlanc and Guy LeBlanc. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 331 Main St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A reception will be after at the Knights of Columbus Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
