TRENTON – Russell B. White, 93, died March 21, 2009, at an Ellsworth health care facility. He was born in Southwest Harbor, the son of Aquaie and Leslie F. White Sr. Russell worked in and later, with his brother, Leslie Jr., managing the family business, Gordon and White Garage, Southwest Harbor, from his teenage years until his retirement. He is survived by his son, Frederick White of Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia Sawyer of Trenton; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Leslie White Jr. of Southwest Harbor; one sister, Katherine Littlefield of Bangor; and a special friend, Bea Martin of Ellsworth. Russell was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary; and three sisters, Marjorie Parritt of Steuben, Ida Lockhart of Southwest Harbor and Pauline Curran of Bangor. At Russell’s request, there will be no funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
