UNITY, N.H. – Gertrude Vincent Lockhart, 88, died peacefully March 19, 2009, at Sullivan County Health Care, Unity, N.H. She was born June 30, 1920, in Millinocket, the daughter of John and Amber (Lord) Vincent. On Jan. 21, 1939, she married Gordon R. Lockhart, who predeceased her Jan. 25, 2002. She was past president of the Circle of the United Methodist Church, a member of Brownville Junction Service Club, Bible study class of Brownville Junction and Aldworth Chapter of Eastern Star of Milo No. 39 and a former member of Ebeemee Snowmobile Club. She is survived by three sons, Berton and his wife, Florence, of Raleigh, N.C., Allan and his companion, Matt Weatherbee, of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and Thomas and his wife, Cathy, of Charlestown, N.H.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy; eight grandchildren, Boyd, Lisa, Eric, Amanda, Kendra, Robbie, Brian and Matthew; 10 great-grandchildren, Derek, Hillary, Danika, Lucas, Nicholas, Catherine, Taylor, Cole, Myles and Braydon; and two sisters, Lois Russell and Mildred Hitchborn and her husband, Herbert, all of Florida. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Thomas, Harold, Robert and John; and a sister, Ethel. A memorial service will be held in Brownville Junction at a later date.
