HAMPDEN – Elizabeth E. Savage Joslyn, passed away unexpectedly, March 22, 2009, at her home. She was born Aug. 18, 1941, in Corinth, the daughter of Rena (Turner) Bond and Edwin J. Savage. Elizabeth will be best remembered by her love of cooking and her fabulous gardens in which she took tremendous pride. Family gatherings were a source of joy for her. She touched the lives of so many spiritually and emotionally and believed in living her life her way and that her angels would guide her. She believed in sharing her gift with the world, the gift of healing, insight and true empathy for all. She had a sense of humor and positive outlook on life that inspired others to do the same. She wanted to be remembered as full of life, laughter and love which is how we will remember her. Surviving are her four children, sons, Donald Edwin Joslyn and his wife, Debbie, of Bangor, Shane Joslyn and his wife, Lisa, of Dover-Foxcroft, Daniel Joslyn and his fianc?e, Sandy, of Argyle, and her only daughter, Shannon Elliott of Hampden; her grandchildren, whom she cherished and adored, Christopher, Michael, Carissa, Matthew, Kimberly, Brooke, Melissa, Alex, Makayla and Madison Rose; a brother, Bob Decker and his wife, Flo, of Eddington; and her best friend and soul sister, Sandy Moody, whom she shared a lifelong friendship full of adventure and fun. She will be remembered by best friends, Dawn McDonald, Katherine Tsoulas and Ken Wentworth, all of Bangor. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Donald Savage; and her Aunt Lily Turner A service in honor of Elizabeth’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, with the Rev. Dick Woehr, presiding. Her request was to have no black clothing worn at her memorial service and that you dress as if you were coming to a family dinner at her home. Family and friends may visit noon until the service begins Wednesday. For those who wish, spring flowers may be sent because those were her favorite.
