LUBEC – Myrlene L. Quimby, 66, died March 22, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born in Lubec. She was most recently a resident of Sunrise Care Facility, Jonesport. She loved reading, bingo and talking with her extended circle of family and friends. She was an amazing woman who put up a courageous battle in the face of many health challenges. She is survived by two children, daughter, Janet Robertson and companion, Todd Scoville, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and son, Paul Quimby and wife, Crystal, of Crescent City, Calif.; a brother, Bernard Harvey and wife, Susie, of Barnstable, Mass.; brother, Robert Wasson and wife, Marie, of Cutler; brother, Barry Wasson and wife, Sung, of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Carol Ann of Bangor, Tabitha of Sullivan, Dalton of Daytona Beach and Krow of Crescent City, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Colby, Parker and Kenzie; many nieces and nephews; and special people in her life, Dan and Jean Quimby of Bucks Harbor, Robert and Dianne Tinker of Lubec, Carolyn Hauser of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Guen Wasson of Lubec. She will be sadly missed by her nursing home family at Sunrise Care Facility, Jonesport. In addition to her husband, Faunce Quimby, she was also predeceased by family members, Paul Wasson, David Wasson, David Jones and Nina Ward Wasson. Graveside services will be held in July 2009 so that she may be buried with her husband, Faunce, at Quimby Family Cemetery, Bucks Harbor. Those wishing to make donations may do so to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
