BREWER – Dora A. Conner, 95, wife of the late Frank Conner Sr., died March 24, 2009, at a Bangor health care center. She was born July 2, 1913, in Middleboro, Mass., daughter of Henry and Yvonne (Ruel) Joyal. Dora grew up and attended schools in Middleboro, Mass. She and her husband were longtime residents of Brewer and were communicants of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She and her husband were avid mall walkers and enjoyed the times they spent camping especially at Barcadia Campground on Mount Desert Island. Surviving are one son, Frank Conner Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Hermon; three grandchildren, Kimberly Conner of Biddeford, Paul Conner and his companion, Lynn, of Biddeford, and Michael Conner and his wife, Stephanie, of Bangor; six great-grandchildren, Aimee, Sarah and Megan Conner, Paul Jr., Eric and Katie Conner; three great-great-grandchildren, Tyrone Jeronomo, Ciara Robinson and Sunah Kahan; brother, Henry LaValley of Middleboro, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1992; and by a sister, Cora Snowden. Her family thanks the staff of Westgate Manor for their excellent care. A memorial Mass celebrating Dora’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer.
