DEER ISLE – Adele Hallowell de Vries, 69, died March 27, 2009, at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1939, in New York City, the daughter of Francis J. and Priscilla A. (Allen) Hallowell. She was the beloved wife of Peter and dear mother of Priscilla and Caroline. A celebration of Adele’s life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church, 330 Hinckley Ridge Road, Blue Hill, with the Rev. Claudia Smith officiating.
