GLENBURN – Dana E. Walls, 53, died unexpectedly March 26, 2009, in Bangor. He was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Bangor, the son of Edward W. and Jessie E. (Brown) Walls. Dana graduated from Bangor High School in 1974 and attended Philadelphia School of Pharmacy and Science, where he was a member of Rho Pi Phi fraternity. He worked for Quirk Auto, Bangor, for more than 25 years, where he was the parts manager. Dana was a marksman instructor, teaching pistol and rifle safety and skills to students and was involved in archery. He was a former member of Great Works Rifle Club and Hampden Rifle & Pistol Club. Dana was a member of the National Rifle Association and had earned the Distinguished Expert qualification. He also held a private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. Dana was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, boating, snowmobiling and spending time at his parent’s camp on Holbrook Pond. Surviving, in addition to his parents of Bangor, are one sister, Denise Tuller and her husband, Scott, of Charleston; one nephew, Edward Spencer of Hermon; two nieces, Melissa Engeseth and her husband, Erick, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Amanda Tuller of Charleston; a great-niece and two great-nephews, Erick and Hannah and Aiden Engeseth, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be remembered by special friends, Ricky Thomas, Mike Arel and Cliff Theis. He was predeceased by a sister, Debra J. Spencer in 2007; and his grandparents, Eleanor and Allen Brown Sr., and Abbie and Arthur Walls. He will also be missed by his two cats, Susie and Hiram. A service honoring Dana’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit noon until the service begins.
