GRAND ISLE – Esperant Hope Beaulieu, 74, passed away March 30, 2009, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Van Buren, son of the late Alexis and Adeline (Caron) Beaulieu. He is survived by two sons, Danny Beaulieu and his wife, Theresa, of Madawaska and Kenneth Beaulieu and his wife, Lynn, of Grand Isle; by Steven Thibodeau of Boston, whom she raised as a son with her own family; four grandchildren, Ashley Hutchinson of Connecticut, Justine Beaulieu and her fianc?, Dustin Martin, of Madawaska, Jeremy Beaulieu and Katelynn Beaulieu, both of Grand Isle; one brother, Lucien Beaulieu of New Jersey; four sisters, Val Duplessis, Mignne Ouellette and Bridget Cote, all of Van Buren and Constance Pouliot of Connecticut. Esperant was predeceased by his loving wife, Omerine Beaulieu, Oct. 5, 2008. He was also predeceased by five brothers, Gilbert, Christian, Ivan, Conrad and Laurier; and by one sister, Carmelle Voisine. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle, where friends and family may call 8:30 a.m. until the time of services. Spring interment will be at St. Gerard Cemetery, Grand Isle. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, Madawaska.
