PLEASANT POINT, PERRY; and BANGOR – Sheila Mae Mitchell Houle, 65, passed away peacefully March 26, 2009, in Bangor. Sheila was born July 15, 1943, on Pleasant Point, Perry. Her parents were the late Anthony J. Mitchell and Margaret M. Socoby. She was a proud Passamaquoddy Tribal member. She loved and lived a traditional way of life. She had many friends from all walks of life. She liked to travel and loved being around her family. During her time with us, she enjoyed country music, bowling, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed listening to music in her native language. In her early years, she attended various schools; St. Ann’s School, Pleasant Point and St. Patrick’s, Hartford Conn. Sheila is survived by and will be greatly missed by her family, Sonny Meader of Bethel, Jamie and his wife, Kirsten Meader, of Bryant Pond, Wendy Meader of Bethel, Jeffrey Meader of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Caeri Meader, Maxwell Meader, Karissa Meader, Trey Meader, Peyton Meader; sisters, Jessica Burby of Boston, Priscilla Basset of Old Town; brother, Dale Mitchell of Pleasant Point, Perry; many nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends. Sheila was predeceased by her son, Bradley Meader; and sister, Georgia “Tuffy” Mitchell. Thank you to family and friends who supported her in her later years. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, April 2, at St. Ann’s Church, Pleasant Point, Perry.
