BRADFORD, Texas – Mrs. Cheryl Linda Grundy, 61, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Mother Francis Hospital, Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Grundy was born July 11, 1947, in Bangor, daughter of the late Richard and Delta Shortt Patten. Cheryl moved from Houston, to Bradford, Texas, in 2001. One son, David, predeceased her. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Arthur Grundy of Bradford, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Leigha Grundy of Tyler, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Rory Mills of Bradford, Texas; brother, Richard Patten of Maine; and six grandchildren, Nathaniel and Lucas Grundy, Cason, Macy, Isabelle and Madilyn Mills. Family will receive condolences 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home, Athens, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Springfield Methodist Church, Bradford, Texas, with the Rev. Glenn Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Bradford. Pallbearers include Marty Shannon, Steve Mazzanti, Trae Moore, Steve Harris, Jason Henthorn, Larry Arbuckle and Tony Petit.
