MATTAWAMKEAG – Nathan Paul Jacobs, 54, died May 2, 2009, at his home. He was born May 13, 1954, in New Britain, Conn., the son of Millage and Lillian (DiCesare) Jacobs. Nathan was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed quiet rides on his motorcycle. He loved life, loved his kids and his family was very important to him. He was loved by all who knew him. Nathan was a quiet man whose presence was always known. A man of very few words, but endless wisdom. He greeted everyone with a nod, a smile and a firm handshake. He is survived by three children, Shane Jacobs of Bar Harbor, Wade Jacobs and Ginny of Brewer and Ginger Jacobs and Justin Allen of Millinocket; four siblings, Lynn Jacobs and Donna of Surprise, Ariz., Allen Jacobs and Theresa of Kingman, Carolyn Simpson and Jeff of West Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Llewellyn Jacobs of Monmouth; five grandchildren, Isaac Nadeau, Sean Nadeau, Lauren Jacobs, Riley Moors and Kaylee Jacobs; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his best friend and mother of his children, Kim Jacobs. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, Kingman, with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating. Interment will be at Jacobs Family Cemetery, Kingman. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Community Health and Counseling, Lincoln. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
