At Standish, Courtney MacFarland pitched a complete game, giving up one run on thee hits as sixth-seeded Plymouth State University eliminated No. 3 Saint Joseph’s College in the first round of the ECAC New England Tournament. Sammi Romano doubled and singled with an RBI to spark Plymouth State. Ashley Geel hit an RBI double for Saint Joseph’s. Kiera Walsh (11-5) allowed six hits.

Central Aroostook 2, Fort Fairfield 0

At Mars Hill, Logan McLaughlin tossed a five-hit shutout with eight strikeouts to lead Central Aroostook by Fort Fairfield. Garrett Stiles doubled and singled while Kasey Brewer hit an RBI single for the Panthers. Brian Bixler had two singles while Austin Dufour hit a double for Fort Fairfield.

George Stevens 8, Sumner 0

At Blue Hill, Nick Saunders, Jesse Dow and Peter Dickinson combined on a three-hit shutout as the Eagles earned their fourth straight victory. Saunders pitched the first five innings and also hit a two-run single as part of GSA’s 10-hit attack. Nate Hines added two singles and a solo home run for GSA, while Dickinson doubled and singled and Tom Crowe singled twice. Matt Boyle pitched a complete game for Sumner of East Sullivan.

Schenck 6, Piscataquis 3

At Guilford, Ryan Thompson posted a double, a single and two RBIs to lead Schenck of East Millinocket by Piscataquis. Josh Brown had two singles and an RBI while Jon Sirois added two singles and two runs scored for the Wolverines. Jake Bailey and Josh Stockley each had two singles, a double and an RBI for Piscataquis.

Winthrop 5, Georges Valley 4

At Thomaston, Easton Morgan and Ryan Castonguay each had two singles and an RBI as Winthrop edged Georges Valley. Jordan Conant added two singles for the Ramblers. Brandon Knight and Ian Anderson each hit an RBI single for Georges Valley.

Bucksport 9, MDI 7

At Bar Harbor, Kyle McGeechan doubled, singled and scored three runs as the Golden Bucks held off the Trojans. Cody Farrell added a double single and RBI for Bucksport while Cam Wentworth hit an RBI double in support of winning pitcher Tim Nason. Willie Clark hit three singles for Mount Desert Island, while Sammy Stewart had two singles and an RBI and Nolan Hall hit a two-run double.

Penquis 5, Searsport 2

At Milo, Brad Brown hit two singles and knocked in a run to lead Penquis by Searsport. Brandon Smith tossed a complete game giving up two runs on four hits. Brain Russell added a double for the Patriots. Matt Bagley doubled and singled for Searsport.

Bucksport 22, MDI 0

At Bar Harbor, Abby Yeo pitched a one-hitter and struck out six as Bucksport rolled past Mount Desert Island. Baily Blair posted two doubles, a triple, a single and six RBIs to propel the Golden Bucks. Emily Lenore had five hits, including a home run, while Katlynn Williams hit two doubles and two singles. Kayla Walls hit a single for Mount Desert Island.

Fort Fairfield 14, CAHS 7

At Mars Hill, Kelly Lynch hit three singles, a double and drove in three runs to propel Fort Fairfield by Central Aroostook. Amanda Hotham and Courtney Church each had two singles and an RBI for the Tigers. Kristen Long had four singles and three RBIs to pace Central Aroostook. Vicki McIntyre added a home run and a single while Ashley Estabrook had two singles.

GSA 6, Sumner 5

At Blue Hill, Lexi Wessel drove in the game-winning run on a single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift George Stevens Academy by Sumner of East Sullivan. Lydia Clapp tripled and later scored the winning run. Angela Leach hit a triple and a single for Sumner. Ashley Pennartz doubled and singled while Lona Sargent added a double.

Penquis 16, Searsport 2

At Milo, Erica Lyford fired a one-hitter, striking out nine and walking seven, and she drove in three runs with a triple and two singles to pace Penquis’ five-inning victory. Shelby Fowles knocked in two runs with a triple and a double and Holly Smith had two doubles and an RBI for the winners. Marissa Higgins’ single was Searsport’s only hit.

Foxcroft 5, John Bapst 3

At Bangor, Sabrina Sharrow doubled, singled and drove in a run to spark Foxcroft Academy by John Bapst. Courtney Withee hit two singles and scored two runs for the Ponies. Tori Huckestein had two singles while Tori Mason hit an RBI single for John Bapst.

Orono 15, Dexter 8

At Dexter, Jill Tuell and Sarah Thibault each had three singles and three RBIs to lead the Red Riots past the Tigers. Chloe Paul also hit three singles for Orono, while Jade Keezer and Kristen Douglass each doubled and singled. Sam Conway singled twice with two RBIs for Dexter, while freshman Macie Gustin tripled and singled and Olivia Gardner had a two-run double.

Narraguagus 30, Jonesport-Beals 6

At Jonesport, Tasha Boada hit four singles and drove in two runs as Narraguagus of Harrington cruised past Jonesport-Beals in five innings. Sam Baker hit two singles and a double while Andrea Perry had a double, a single and three RBIs for the Knights. Sara Smith hit a two-run single while Hannah Carver and BreAnna Beal each had an RBI single for Jonesport-Beals.

Georges Valley 7, Winthrop 1

At Thomaston, freshman Jill Bradbury tossed six innings of two-hit, one-run ball for her first win and Erin Judkins hit a two-run double in a four-run, fourth-inning rally that snapped a 1-1 tie. Bradbury struck out nine and walked three as Georges Valley improved to 5-0. Judkins had two doubles and three RBIs for the winners. Danielle Frye, Jesse Veilleux and Bethany Snow had two singles apiece with Frye and Veilleux each picking up an RBI. Ashley Morellino and Allison Sekenek singled for Winthrop.

Piscataquis 12, Schenck 6

At Guilford, Maggie Abbott hit a two-run single to highlight a seven-run third inning as Piscataquis topped Schenck of East Millinocket. Megan Soden had two singles and an RBI while Julia Shaffer added a double and Megan Weeks hit an RBI single for the Pirates. Ashley Deloge posted two singles and two RBIs while Ashley Grant hit a two-run double for Schenck.
