HELEN ARLENE REYNOLDS BROOKS – Helen Arlene (Smith) Reynolds, 84, of 71 Reynolds Road, passed away May 9, 2009, surrounded by her family at home, after several years of declining health. Born May 5, 1925, in Livermore, Helen was the daughter of the late Edgar and Alena Gladys (Decrow) Smith. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Frank; her daughter, Paula Miron and husband, Dan, of Brooks; daughter, Margaret Mains and husband, Claude “Mac,” of Raymond; daughter, Melinda A. Boon and husband, Bruce, of Brooks; her sister, Rita Elwell; nephew, Gary F. Elwell of Augusta; six grandchildren, Christopher F. Lizzotte and wife, Malisa, of Ludlow, Mass., Robyn Rae Parizo and husband, Mike, of Easthampton, Mass., David Mains and wife, Jennifer, of Raymond, April Bisnette and husband, John, of Raymond, Tanya J. Boudreau and special friend, Justin Ward, of Winterport and Daniel Boudreau of Unity; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including a beloved cousin, Angelia Simmons of Brooks. She was predeceased by a special niece, Ruth Alena Elwell. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast. A celebration of life service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Brooks Congregational Church, UCC, with the Rev. Suzie Gowie officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of affection in the form of charitable contributions may be given to First Congregational Church, UCC, of Brooks or Arthur Jewell Ambulance Service, Brooks.
