CUTLER – Dewey B. Maker, 79, husband of Norma “Fitzhenry” Maker passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009, at home, after a long illness. He was born Jan. 20, 1930, in East Machias, the son of F. Douglas Maker and Elaine Bryant Maker. He was a graduate of Washington Academy, Class of 1948. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 59 years, Norma; four daughters, Bonnie and her husband, Clyde Foss, of Marshfield, Sherry and her husband, Donald Cole, of Marshfield, Beverly and her husband, Wayne Grant, of Whitneyville, and Laurie and her husband, David W. Cline, of Cutler; a brother, Ralph D. Maker of Cutler; a sister, Joan Weaver and her husband, Joel, of Cutler; six grandchildren, Deana Shave and her husband, Paul, Jeremy Maker and his wife, Jennifer, Cami Cole and her companion, Michael Libby, Steven Cole and his wife, Jessica, Kadie Brooks and her husband, Adam, and Kari Cline; eight great-grandchildren, Kristen and Ryan Shave, Haley Cherry, Avery Libby, Cali Cole, Makenzi and Makenna Brooks; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, F. Douglas and Elaine Maker. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at New Cutler Cemetery with Pastor Gary Look officiating.
