EAST MILLINOCKET – Shirley M. Ham, 97, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 11, 2009, from a Hudson, N.H., health care facility. She was born June 16, 1911, in Houlton, the daughter of Wesley B. and Maude L. (Clark) Van Tassel. Shirley resided in East Millinocket from the early 1920s until 1997. She is survived by two sons and wives, Jack and Cathy of Alfred and Thomas and Flo of Pottstown, Pa.; three grandchildren, Thomas of Douglasville, Pa., Scott of Gettysburg, Pa., and Kenneth of Fayetteville, N.C.; several great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandson. She was at the top of five generations. She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters, Wesley “Rip,” Alan “Sonny,” Vaughn, Doris “Dot” and Faye; grandson, David; and her husband of more than 50 years, Herbert. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, with Pastor Steve Nissley officiating.
