FORT KENT – Annette (Caron) Vaillancourt, 94, died May 18, 2009, at a Frenchville health care facility, with family members by her side. She was born May 16, 1915, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Denis and Odile (Roy) Caron. Annette was a volunteer work in the education department at Northern Maine Medical Center, and she served lunch for the RSVP every day at Fort Kent Senior Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Vaillancourt, in 1980. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Vaillancourt of Calais, Val Vaillancourt of Machias, and Maurice Vaillancourt and his wife, Corene, of Los Gatos, Calif.; three daughters, Mildred Vaillancourt of Coldchester, Conn., Maureen Jarrett and her husband, Mark, of Fort Kent, and Sandra Sickles and her husband, George, of Orrington; one sister, Renette Dubois of Fort Kent; one brother, Aurele Caron of Fort Kent; six grandchildren, Lando, Sarah, Jacob, Lucas, Braeden and Brianna; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be after at St. Luce Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville. Those who wish may donate in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 170 U.S. Route 1, Suite 250, Falmouth, ME 04105 or if you wish, you may have Masses said in her memory. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
