MADAWASKA – Aline Couturier, 90, passed away May 18, 2009, at an assisted living facility in Madawaska. She was born Sept. 28, 1918, in St. Basile, New Brunswick, the daughter of Onezime and Laura (Soucy) Fournier. Aline is survived by her beloved son, Jean Marc Couturier and his companion, Patricia Martin, of Edmundston, New Brunswick; one grandson, Jamie Couturier of Moncton, New Brunswick; one granddaughter, Melissa Couturier of Riviere Verte, New Brunswick; three sisters, Sadie Serry, Irma Levesque and Agathe Bellefleur, all of Edmundston; one brother, Donald Fournier, also of Edmundston, New Brunswick; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Couturier; three sisters, Wilma Levesque, Gertrude Plourde and Jeannine Bouchard; and four brothers, Ronald Fournier, Alban Fournier, Arthe Fournier and Hermel Fournier. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home.
