CARIBOU – Regina Ouellette, 92, wife of the late Delphis Ouellette, died May 19, 2009, in Van Buren. She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Sheridan, daughter of the late Alcide and Stella (Theriault) Levesque. Mrs. Ouellette was employed as a certified nurse’s aide at New Britain General Hospital in Connecticut, for a number of years. She also worked with her husband at their neighborhood grocery store, Del’s Grocery, Caribou, for many years. Mrs. Ouellette was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was also a member of Ladies of St. Anne, as well as the Catholic Golden Age. She was also of a member of Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Conrad and Sandra Ouellette of Bristol, Conn.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jeannette Stairs of Caribou, Marilyn and Russell Nickerson of Commerce, Ga., Carleen and Robert Beaupre of New Britain, Conn., and Dotty Ann and James Pack of Snellville, Ga.; one brother, Robert Levesque of Newington, Conn.; five sisters, Alice Drouin of Waterville, Edna Moro of Ashland, Evelyn Salamone of Sebago Lake, Jeannette Gagnon of Oakland and Nancy Paradis of Michigan; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ouellette was predeceased by her husband, Delphis, in 1995; a son, Galen, in 2003; three sisters, Rose, Laura and Irene; two brothers, Harold and Frederick; a grandson, Steven Stairs; and a son-in-law, Claude Stairs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where prayer services will begin 6 p.m. by the officer members of the Ladies Auxiliary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be at Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
