WINTER HAVEN, Fla., and BREWER – Donald Edward Tardiff, 77, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at a Winter Haven (Fla.) hospital. He was born July 6, 1931, in Brewer, the son of Roland and Helen Tardiff. He went to Winter Haven, Fla., 22 years ago. He was a postman for the U.S. Postal Service, Brewer, for more than 30 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Federation Eagles and Winter Haven Elks Club. He was a strong Catholic. Donald is survived by his two sons, Stephen Tardiff and his wife, Noreen, of Pembroke, N.H., and Timothy Tardiff and his wife, Nadine, of Bangor; his two daughters, Stephanie J. Tardiff of Brewer, and Debra L. Price and her husband, Peter, of Brownville; one brother, Larry Tardiff of Mexico; one brother-in-law, Rodney Footman of Brewer; two sisters-in law, Madeline of Florida and Ann of Brewer; six grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Karrie, Molly, Peter James and Monica; and one great-grandchild, Addison Marie.
