LITTLETON – Dora Brewer, 89, passed peacefully June 2, 2009, in Houlton, with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 30, 1919, in Littleton, the daughter of Norman and Nellie (Wiggins) Currier. Dora was a very devoted sister and aunt who gave unconditional love and never complained, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Littleton Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She is survived by her two brothers, Harry and Herbert Currier, both of Littleton; one niece, Norma Tarr of Dyer Brook and her daughters, Michelle Tarr-Douglas and Janelle Collier and her son, Ethan “Big E,” who was the light of Dora’s life; several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Percy Brewer; one sister, Ella Currier; and four brothers, Sam, Elmer, Francis and George. Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will be at Village Cemetery, Monticello.
