TOPSFIELD – Peter H. Brown, 69, died June 2, 2009, surrounded by family and friends at home. He was born March 15, 1940, in San Jose, Calif. After working most of his career as an educator in the Washington, D.C., area, he retired to Topsfield in 2002, having spent the previous 25 summers there on Farrow Lake. He is survived by his wife, Judith of Topsfield; son, Jeffrey Brown and his wife, Svetlana, of Rockville, Md.; daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Jay Vermillion, of Agency, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Kayenne and Zebulon Vermillion, and Stas and Mylena Brown, who will continue to celebrate his life through visits to Topsfield. He is also survived by his mother, Beth D. Brown; two brothers, Kirt and Clarence Brown; and three sisters, Kit, Laurie and Amanda of California and Oregon. Friends are welcome to call 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at the home in Topsfield. Arrangements under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
