OLD TOWN – Madeline Violet Dutton, 75, passed away June 6, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, at a Bangor health care facility. Madeline was born Jan. 13, 1934, the daughter of George and Etta (Young) Drake. Madeline loved life and made it her mission to brighten the day of everyone she came across. Her family was her first priority. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Madeline made sure nobody wanted for anything and she was always there to help anyone in need. Madeline is survived by her three children, Linda Reed and husband, Kevin, Steven Dutton, and Wanda Dutton and her husband, Ramon Ramirez; her sisters, Etta Hodsdon and Mary Ellis; several nieces and nephews. Her children and sons-in-law feel blessed that she was given to them as their mother. She will be dearly missed by all, especially her “golden girls.” Madeline was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Ralph; her son, Russell “Rusty” Dutton; and her brother, George Drake Jr. Family and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
