LEWISTON – Pamela Salley Caron, 54, passed away unexpectedly June 15, 2009, at Central Maine Medical Center. Pam was born April 14, 1955, in Bangor, daughter of Walter Salley and Claire Salley Wallace. She graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1973. She worked for many years as intake coordinator for Saint Francis House of Catholic Charities of Maine, touching the lives of many battling addiction. Pam had a devoted love for her deceased dog Susie and later Taffy Sue. She also had a strong compassion for homeless cats. Pam is survived by her beloved sister, Kathleen and her husband, Ed Merrill, of Monmouth; niece Britney; nephews, Jamie, Bobby and Tyler; and great-nephew, David. She is also survived by many close cousins and dear friends; and lifelong companions, Nelson Caron and Tom Landers. Pam was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Claire; and brothers, Douglas, David and twin, Peter. A celebration of life service honoring Pamela’s life will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at the home of James Renaud, 81 Whitney St., Auburn. Graveside committal prayers will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. Memorial donations in Pam’s memory may be made to Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240.
