MADAWASKA – Vernon Roy, 70, died unexpectedly June 15, 2009, at Edmunston Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Frenchville, the son of George and Gertie (Morin) Roy. He is survived by his wife, Florence (Beaulieu) Roy of Madawaska; six daughters, Diane Charette and her husband, Raymond, of Bangor, Norma Chase and her husband, Eric, of Centerville, New Brunswick, Karen Laplante and her husband, Mike, of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Carol Cyr and her husband, Roger, of St. David, Patricia Davenport and her husband, Vaughn, of Centerville, New Brunswick and Della Laplante and her husband, Ren?, of St. John, New Brunswick; three sons, Allen Roy of Augusta, Melvin Roy of Grand Isle and Don Roy and his wife, Michelle, of Frenchville; one sister, Bernice of Waterville; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Eldon and Larry Roy. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
