PRESQUE ISLE – William Sloan, 73, died Monday evening, June 15, 2009, at Rochester Manor, Rochester, N.H. He was born Sept. 13, 1935, in Waltham, Mass., son of James and Dorothy (Liden) Sloan. William worked many years for Modern Pest Control. He is survived by two sons, David of Old Town, Fla., and William Jr. of Eddington; three daughters, Linda Henderson of Milton, Fla., Karen Turner of Dover, N.H., and Nancy Verrill of Sanford; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. William was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Law) Sloan in 1985; two brothers, Edward Sloan and James Sloan; and two grandchildren, Jason Turner and Franklin Molda Jr. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Andy DeRier officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
