PROSPECT – Adelbert H. Kelley, 75, passed away June 19, 2009, at his home with his son, Keith, by his side. He was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Prospect, to parents John E. and Dorothy A. (Bennett) Kelley. Buster graduated from Bucksport High School and served in the U.S. Navy, 1953-1955. He was road commissioner for the town of Prospect and worked as a truck driver for Eastern Fine Paper for several years. He retired from Dead River Oil Co. after more than 35 years of service. Buck enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his keen wit, sense of humor and for being an avid Red Sox fan. Buster is survived by his son, Keith J. Kelley and his wife, Stacey, of Prospect; very special grandchildren, Heather, Jonathan and Jeremy; sisters, Anne her husband, Raymond Seeley, of Holden, Florence Billado of Prospect, and Linda and her husband, Oscar Bridges, of Prospect; and special relatives, Shawn and Sandy Porter of Monroe. He was “Uncle Buck” to nieces and nephews who were all very fond of him. He will be sadly missed by cousin and camping buddy, Roy Leach. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to Buster’s great friend, John, for his caring and support. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Pat Young. Graveside services will be published at a later date by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
